Ice Storm 2009

Thank You from the Princeton Electric Plant Board…

We want to extend our appreciation to our customers for your patience during the recent power outage due to the 2009 Ice Storm. Many long hours were put in by our employees not only to repair services but also answering the telephones, preparing meals, doing laundry, arranging for housing, and other duties as needed.
Customers knew the PEPB was on the job and could contact us to report their outages. Many other areas in our state are not as fortunate to have someone local to contact.
We appreciate all of the cards and kind words given to us during the restoration process. We are particularly grateful to the local volunteers and businesses who helped us during this time.
We especially want to thank the following businesses for their donations:
HANCOCK’S NEIGHBORHOOD MARKET
FOOD GIANT
FIRST SOUTHERN NATIONAL BANK
FARMERS BANK & TRUST CO.
BREMNER
KFC/TACO JOHN’S
PAGLIAI’S
MARATHON/GODFATHER’S PIZZA
MEMORY LANE CREAMERY
HAMMONS AUTOMOTIVE
PRINCETON FINISHING
TRICE HUGHES INC
ATMOS ENERGY
SCOTT’S ELECTRIC
McDONALD’S RESTAURANT
AMERICAN LEGION POST
CALDWELL COUNTY HOSPITAL
HEATON’S BBQ
CENTRAL SERVICE ASSOCIATION

We want to give a special recognition to Barbara Mitchell and her incredible group of volunteers. They prepared and served over 150 meals a day for the line crews, both local and out of town, and the employees at the Princeton Electric Plant Board during the restoration. We thank each volunteer for your time and commitment.

If we have inadvertantly omitted anyone from our list, please note we appreciate your assistance.
